I want to ask people to please pray for my brother he is a US Soldier he’s been serving in the Army for a year now with a year to go, he is also looking at deployment for next June which is just before his 2 year term ends. Him and his girlfriend are faced with having to go thru an abortion that they have no control over. He cant take care of the baby because he is in the military full time. And he said his girlfriend cant keep it because she is stuck with college for a place to live because her adopted parents now that she is older are moving back to the Dominican Republic and leaving her behind and not leaving her any kind of money to work with. He lives in Florida but is based up in Georgia. He unfortunately also has to drive back to base in the middle of the hurricane because the Army is making him come back to Georgia even though they are gonna evacuate his base in Georgia anyway. He was telling me on the phone that this whole situation is messing with his head. He said they most likely cant even have another if they abort this one because his girlfriend was raped a couple times when she was younger, atleast that’s what the doctors are saying right now. He feels like a bad person because of this from what he told me. He said he dont believe in abortions and its bothering him because they wish they could keep the baby even though it was an accidental pregancy. He was saying how being in the military is difficult because you have to make so many sacrifices. He joined right out of high school last year.

I am so sorry about your brother and girlfriend’s situation. I pray they seek adequate advice during this trial - they are not alone! My counselor, who has greatly assisted me with trials and loss, has done much work with the military and she also does video calls. DM me if your brother is interested, and I can ask her. Mother Mary, Father Joseph be with this couple, guide them to the grace and love brought to this earth by you Son. Amen.

Blessed Mother, please intercede for us.
Hold the sorrowful-
Mother and love the weary, abused, neglected
or forgotten among us-
Give your aid to all needing help or healing-
Assist those who are sick, in pain or suffering-
Be with those needing peace-
Console the lonely or brokenhearted-
Comfort the lost or hopeless-
Strengthen the fearful-
Guard the unborn-
Pray for those who are dying or who have died-
Soften those with hardened hearts-
Enlighten those who do not yet see truth-
Help us be brave enough to let our hurt and anger go-
Show us the way to do the right thing-
Protect those who are in danger, and
Guide us from every evil.
May all who keep your sacred commemoration
experience the might of your assistance.
