What is causing this?
I, too, will pray for you; like many here, I’m sure, I’ve experienced such a thing more than once. Perseverance has generally been the key for me.

Faith does not come by wishing for it. The bible says “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word” Rm10:17.
Even the apostles often suffered from little faith. They were often filled with doubt. How did it change? Simply by looking at Jesus and His demonstration of the power of God. You really need to “put on the armor of God” as St. Paul says to do.

I think many of us here on CAF have experienced the dark spiritual period. From first hand experience, I suggest you keep praying and being faithful and remember that God ALWAYS loves you. ALWAYS! God bless you and may the Holy Spirit come alongside you to lift you up when you feel the weight is too heavy to carry yourself.

Dear Upgrade, this can be a tough time of year for spiritual crisis. I used to hate ‘the holidays’. It just painfully showed me the condition of the world. But I have come to love it. The advent season to Epiphany or Theophany in Eastern rites. Though the Christmas eve service was packed with strangers, Christmas day was full of a handful of regulars. New’s Eve service was even less. I love the quiet peacefulness of our sanctuary to talk to Jesus in. Just go to church and sit quiet and still in His presence. Talk to Him. Light a candle and say your prayers there. Leave all these thoughts worrying you outside and go inside and be with your Savior.
