Dear friends in Christ:

Please pray with me for Julen, a 2-year-old trapped in a 360-foot deep well. (See news story.)

A Prayer to Jesus

Beloved Savior, You welcomed children to come to You.
In Your great love and mercy, please wrap Julen in Your
arms as he awaits rescue. Strengthen the rescuers
as they work tirelessly to save him. Comfort all who love
him in their anguish. Amen.

Mother of Jesus, may your loving Son be this young boy’s protector and defender against the dangers he now faces. Bring his needs and those of his family and rescuers before Almighty God, that they may be surrounded by God’s Holy Angels. May God give them the grace to conquer every danger and overcome all that would threaten the health and well being of this young boy.

For his family, be a light in times of darkness, strength when they are weak, wisdom in their confusion, and courage in the face of uncertainty, knowing they need only ask your petition to Jesus, the Son of the Eternal and Ever-loving God. Amen.
 
Please, please, please keep praying. Julen is still trapped. hole. Hard rock is stalling the heavy machinery.

Prayer to St. Jude

Holy St. Jude, patron of seemingly lost causes, I beg
you to pray for Julen. Ask God to strengthen all
the rescue workers and to send His angels to comfort
this little boy as he awaits his rescue. Beloved saint,
please pray for Julen’s family and all the others
who love him. Through Christ our Lord, amen.

God, you said through the Psalmist, “Then call on me on the day of distress; I will rescue you, and you shall honor me.” Almighty and Ever-powerful God, we humbly call on behalf of the young boy trapped in the well; rescue him, that he and his family might praise you all their days. In the name of Your Son, Jesus, we pray for your help, in this child’s time of great need.
O Saint Joseph , whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, we place in you all our interests and desires. Just as you protected Jesus in times of great danger, we ask that you intercede to your Holy Son on behalf of this young child and his parents. If it be God’s will, we ask that this child be spared; may this child feel the hand of God, embracing him with love, bring calm to his fears, and warmth to his body. For in God, all things are possible. Amen.

Two-year-old has been trapped for eight days. Rescuers believe they can reach him Tuesday. Please pray they are successful and the boy is still alive.
