Prayers needed for civil proceeding

My husband is again threatening to take me to court and file emergency proceedings so that he can see our child. He does not want me to be around when he sees our child. When he was with us, he would be verbally abusive and I am really not comfortable with our child being alone with him. If he could say harmful things to our child in front of me, what would he say when they are alone. Please pray that the legal proceedings will be in my favor.
 
God, our Father, I pray that KAnneC’s daughter is shielded from her father’s abusive behavior. Let the court rule that her father be allowed to see this young girl only with a court-appointed observer. May KAnneC challenge her husband and win the case – thus protecting her child.

Psalm 10

Why, Lord, do you stand at a distance
and pay no heed to these troubled times?
Arrogant scoundrels pursue the poor;
they trap them by their cunning schemes.

The wicked even boast of their greed;
these robbers curse and scorn the Lord.
In their insolence the wicked boast:
“God doesn’t care, doesn’t even exist.”
Yet their affairs always succeed;
they ignore your judgment on high;
they sneer at all who oppose them.
They say in their hearts, “We will never fall;
never will we see misfortune.”

Their mouths are full of oaths, violence, and lies;

Rise up, Lord God! Raise your arm!
Do not forget the poor!
Why should the wicked scorn God,
say in their hearts, “God doesn’t care”?

you take the matter in hand.
To you the helpless can entrust their cause;
you are the defender of orphans.

Break the arms of the wicked and depraved;
make them account for their crimes;

I am praying for a successful outcome for you and your daughter. It is hard to confront an abuser anywhere, even a controlled setting like court. I will pray for strength and courage for you as well. I’m on my way to Mass and will remember you in prayer. Good luck.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
