Prayers needed for confession of venial sins

I attend a church where I openly
declared that I have been forgiven
of gross sins, I am afraid to go to
confession openly this week b/c
it will LOOK like I have fallen from
grace, but I have two venial sins
that I need badly to confess, so
I need to contact the priest for a
private confession.
 
I was able to approach the
Associate Pastor after the
Saturday vigil and did my
confession, thanx for all
who prayed, posted or NOT,
 
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen…

Does pride get in the way of confession? Who cares if someone sees you going to confession? Whoever sees you is also a sinner. That is the major problem in the Church today, that close to 50% of Catholics go once per year or never!

of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
    And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.

Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,

They might be rejoiced to see you advancing in grace, the same way as you can feel about them! (The weight was off my mind the moment I decided to go to confession.)

I MUST consider what OTHERS might be
hardened in their consciences if they saw
me, I THEN have to find my OWN way to
rid the guilt of MY conscience!!

I thank you for ALL your prayers,
I KNOW that I have scrupulosity
and frequent the confessional more
than many, but NOW I feel more
freedom b/c I KNOW my sins are
ALREADY forgiven by Christ’s death
on the cross and the Father is just
waiting on me to repent and confess
my sins to welcome me WITH OPEN
ARMS!!
