DH had back surgery this past Febraury (it was his 2nd in 7 years). Since that time, things have not gotten much better for him…he has been experiencing chronic pain for which he take narcotic pain meds.

It has been a very long road for us. The pain meds don’t always work when taken as prescribed so he sometimes take a little extra to alleviate the pain (this sometimes gives him the appearance of being “high”). He has been to different doctors to try to find out what is causing all of this pain and no one can seem to pin point the cause.

We have both struggled with our faith during this time. I feel very bitter and angry. DH wants to be a good person and do good things with his life but his pain holds him back from doing a lot of things. He is so young (32)…he shouldn’t be dealing with this. We haven’t been to church in months.

I am asking for a few prayer intentions here…
  1. That we can get back on track with our faith…we want our 3 children to have a wonderful relationship with God and we need to show them how to do that
  2. That the doctors can help him find the cause of his pain and can treat it
  3. That we can have the strength to deal with whatever may come our way in this situation
  4. That DH is able to get off of the narcotic pain meds very soon and not be in pain
Thank you.

Praying for your intentions. Do go to Church to be with the rest of God’s imperfect family. All around are people who need, and the Church is there for the support and understanding to get through things. Peace be with you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Please know, Go_Bengals, your request for prayers have been added to our list of “Special Intentions” and the “Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary” recited daily!
God Bless You both!
Rich
PS: We know the pain your husband is going through as my wife and myself have had multable spine surgeries, back & neck and will be on pain meds the rest of our lives. Turning back to the Church and saying the Rosary daily has/is a great comfort for us!

I have placed your petitions within my heart and will carry them with me to Mass and I will remember your petitions in my daily prayers.

From a long time Pittsburgh Steeler fan, there are prayers and my morning rosary headed your way. I like your intentions to get things back on track faith wise…it’ll go a long way!
Kathy

I will keep DH in prayer. God’s Ways can indeed be mysterious and leave one confused, angry and hurt. Have you thought of putting a thread into the Spirituality Forum?..Blessings - Barb:)
