There has been unprecedented flooding these past two days in Houston, Texas. Please send prayers for Houston and its surrounding areas, for the so far seven confirmed dead, and for all displaced or trapped by this historic flood. Please pray that no more victims be taken, and that the rain is withheld until the floodwaters subside. I’m also sending a prayer of great thanks for all those whose property has been kept safe from the flooding. Thank you all in advance.

Praying for the intentions, safety & well being of all affected by the flooding.

Praying with you…+

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen.*

praying for all those affected by the flood in the Houston area.

Prayer in Time of Flood

Lord our God, who in times past withheld rain at the word of Your righteous prophet Elijah, hear the humble pleas of us unworthy sinners during this season of heavy rains and flooding. Do not hand us over to well-deserved chastisement for our many and manifold sins, but rather have mercy on us and save us, sparing us from the unpredictable elements of nature, so we may lead lives of peace and repentance for the rest of our days. In Your love for humankind, protect us from overwhelming rain, flooding, destruction, illness, injury, disaster and sudden death, delivering us from all evil and harm, through the intercessions of our all-holy Lady Mary, the ever-virgin Birth-giver of God, and all Your saints. Amen.

Prayers continuing…
