Prayers needed for my aunt D, who has been dabbling in the occult

My heart is breaking for my poor aunt. A few years ago she ended her 3rd marriage and has been on a downward spiral of partying (and all behaviours that go hand in hand with it). She is a mother of 2 young boys and is looking for happiness in all the wrong places.

Last week, while on vk with my family, I got a frantic call from another of my aunts who told me my aunt D admitted to her that she had been using a Ouija board for the past while and had been communicating with her deceased father, sister and her baby girl she lost by miscarriage years ago. She (aunt D) said that recently, when attempting to contact them, she had been unable to and she was growing increasingly sad about it. At some point, the board, pretending to be one of her loved ones, told her that God is angry with her for using the Ouija board because He doesn’t want her using it to contact and talk to her deceased relatives. The devil is working hard to turn the love she has for God to anger.

I am headed to see her later today. I ask that you please pray that the Holy Spirit gives me the words needed to reach her. I’m starting a rosary novena for her today as well.

I plan to give her my brown scapular and am headed to my Christian bookstore shortly to grab some other stuff too. I pray that if she has that demonic board in her house… that I find out somehow because I plan to bring it into her garage to smash it.

Sad story. Just try and model good christian behavior for her.

Just a little update. I spent most of the afternoon and evening at her house. I didn’t bring it up until I felt it was time to, I prayed the Holy Spirit lead the conversation. I started the conversation by telling her someone had asked I bring her something, and I handed her my scapular… She immediately began to cry when I explained to her what it was. My mom told me last night that it’s our lady of My Camel’s feast day today!! I then gave her everything else I brought her.

She has hit rock bottom and she is ready to change. I am hoping to see her at church this morning, but at the very least I’ll be headed to her house later today to do the second rosary of our novena. She cried all afternoon, telling me how much she had needed this (without even realizing it).

The Holy Spirit was truly present for her yesterday. It was a beautiful thing to witness. Praise be to God!

She will be getting her house blessed, going to confession and talking to a priest and allowing us to safely destroy the board.

Her 12 year old son made the Ouija following instructions online… they had been playing it together… her oldest wanted nothing to do with it. She was so convinced that she was communicating with “good spirits”, and the one in charge was called ouija- and that there were evil spirits trying to break through the board to communicate too. The cunning coming from that thing really did a number on her, the devil is so crafty. I am still not convinced she 100% believes me (That everyone she spoke to in there is a demon)… but I am quite sure she won’t touch it. She looked for it yesterday to give it to me so I could take it away and have it destroyed… but neither she or her son could find it. A house blessing is required at this point because her youngest has said he saw something in the house and my aunt witnessed a chair slide across her floor on it’s own. 😦

I appreciate all of your prayers, please continue to pray for her. She isnt out of the water yet and she’ll need strength to make it through this.

Dear Jesus, please bless and protect and strengthen the OP’s aunt D and her family. D has been in a bad place but You rescued her and for that we thank You, Jesus. But she isn’t out of the woods yet so please keep helping. Please also give the OP and D’s other loved ones the grace to keep helping D in the right way to free her from any sinful or dangerous behavior and any evil influences. In Jesus’ Name we humbly pray. Amen.
