Prayers Needed For Selling House

We are in the process of selling our home. We are relocating to a different part of the country so we can be nearer the grandchildren. It means leaving the part of the country where both of us have lived all our lives (both native Bostonians). It has been a whirlwind experience preparing the house for sale complicated by illness, but through it all God has been with us.

We have accepted an offer and are in the middle of home inspections. There have been a few hiccups along the way and the final home inspection is Thursday (tomorrow). I am asking for prayers that tomorrow’s inspection will go well and we can proceed quickly and smoothly to the final sale

I feel very selfish in asking for this, especially when I read the other intentions on this forum. However, we are told to bring all our needs to God so I figure a few additional prayers won’t hurt!

Lord, please hear this intention for a home sale and may this inspection and whole process go well. See that all the trials of home buying be made easy, and that angelic powers comfort this family and guide anyone involved in the process. Lead them through this enterprise and all occasions ever toward the eternal garden. See that this family all the way through the grandchildren, be strengthened and emboldened holily and in accord with the Father’s merciful will. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Prayer to Sell a House

O, Saint Joseph, you who taught our Lord the carpenter’s trade, and saw to it that he was always properly housed, hear my earnest plea. I want you to help me now as you helped your foster-child Jesus, and as you have helped many others in the matter of housing. I wish to sell this [house/property] quickly, easily, and profitably and I implore you to grant my wish by bringing me a good buyer, one who is eager, compliant, and honest, and by letting nothing impede the rapid conclusion of the sale.

Dear Saint Joseph, I know you would do this for me out of the goodness of your heart and in your own good time, but my need is very great now and so I must make you hurry on my behalf.

Saint Joseph, I am going to place you in a difficult position with your head in darkness and you will suffer as our Lord suffered, until this [house/property] is sold. Then, Saint Joseph, i swear before the cross and God Almighty, that i will redeem you and you will receive my gratitude and a place of honour in my home.

I wanted to publicly give thanks to God and to thanks those online who joined in prayer.

It was hectic and stressful following the inspection and negotiations, but the Purchase and Sales was signed last night. We are scheduled to close on July 15.

God is good and will carry us through the next steps.
