Our son (29) went back to his ex-wife a year ago. He turned his back on the church and his family, hardly ever seeing or talking to his beloved sisters. We believe this is due to his ex-wife, and his feeling that to have her he can’t have us in his life (not sure if she has said this to him or not, but we speculate). Please pray that our beautiful son comes back to his faith, his church, and his family soon.

Please also pray for my wife, that she is able to cope with our son’s estrangement. And also pray that her foor and ankle pain go away very quickly so that she can enjoy our precious daughters.

Mother Mary, you saw your beloved son crucified on the cross, so you know the pain of losing your son. You have never failed me when I have asked you for your comfort, and so I ask you now to comfort my dear wife through these hours of darkness as we wait for our son to return to his faith, to his sisters, and to us. Please ask your son to to show us His mercy and guide our boy home again soon. Amen.

I will say the Rosary for you and your family this afternoon. I will ask the Blessed Mother to pray for you and ask that your son returns to his faith and his family.

I will also pray that your wife has relief from her physical and emotional pain.:gopray2: :blessyou:

Hail Mary Full of Grace
The Lord is with Thee
Blessed art thou among women
Blessed is the fruit of thy womb

Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit, please have great compassion and grant the prayers of this father’s heart and of his wife’s.

Mother Mary intercede with your maternal heart for this family.

You will be in my prayers and Masses, Trishie

Thank you all, please continue to remember this intention in your prayers. Ben was always a wonderful son. Always there when we needed him, as we were for him. He read every card for b-days and holidays to get just he right one.

It has been a year since he moved back in with his ex-wife (prior was 6 months married, 2-1/2 yrs divorced). No contact from him on Mother’s or Father’s Day, or our birthdays. He has remembered his sisters on their birthdays and holidays, but only to give their gifts to them at a neutral place (a parking lot or such).

So please, continue to keep us and Ben in your prayers.

Please continue praying for us. My wife and I are discussing whether we should allow our son (29) to take his sisters (12 & 8) to lunch or anything away from us alone, while he has not been speaking to us. We just think that we should have some communications going on between us before allowing him to take them out, and there have been none. All that we read about an adult child’s estrangements is that the more time goes on the less likely they will return at all. We just don’t know what to do.

So again, please continue to pray for us that we make good decisions concerning this.

These intentions will be in my prayers.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

I will continue to remember you, your wife, your daughters and your son in my prayers.

Our God, is there any truth in my wondering…
If during this son’s estrangement with his ex-wife, anyone happened to hint of any relief that he was away from this woman, or that they felt in any degree unfriendly regarding her in defence of his hurt at that time, this son may have resentment or a sense of alienation from his family. He may feel some awkwardness, or a sense that his family won’t wholly accept his ex-wife now. It may also be that the ex-wife feels too awkward, too unlikely to be loved and accepted…If these things be true please begin the healing process, our God.

If the estrangement is based in any of these things, please Holy Spirit help this family to break through this barrier of hurt and misunderstanding. If any little kindnesses will begin to heal the estrangement, please inspire them, Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit, please heal the hearts of each of this family, including the ex-wife, fill their hearts with generous welcome and empathy, and re-unite this family.

Heavenly Father, we make this prayer in the name of Your beloved Son Jesus.

Mother Mary please intercede for love and unity to overflowin this family.
