I’m asking for prayers for my 26 year old son who texted me he doesn’t want to live anymore. Please pray that he seeks help!
 
Prayed for your son, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

I feel for you. It seems that this is going to be a long ordeal for your son, so I humbly suggest that you confide your son’s troubles in a Holy Mass intention. Please go to your parish church office and pay a nominal fee for this intention, or if you know a priest, you can ask him to say your intention during Mass.

This intention can be written as this:
“Today we pray for a soul who feels depressed and is spiritually tormented;” thus the whole mass is prayed for your son, and a mass has a great healing power.

You can ask to celebrate nine masses for this intention (novena) or if needed, 30 masses. In this case, the offering to do is more important.

Please discuss the “offering to do” with your parish priest.

I did pray a decade of my daily Divine Mercy Chaplet for your intention.
 
O Child Jesus, I have recourse to You through Your Holy Mother; I implore You to assist me in this necessity, for I firmly believe that Your Divinity can assist me. I confidently hope to obtain Your holy grace. I love You with my whole heart and my whole soul. I am heartily sorry for my sins and entreat You, O good Jesus, to give me the strength to overcome them.

I am firmly resolved never to offend You again and to suffer everything rather than displease You. Henceforth, I wish to serve You faithfully. For love of You, O Divine Child, I will love my neighbor as myself. O Jesus, omnipotent Child, I entreat You again to come to my assistance in this necessity. To help @4sonsmama’s son get through these difficult times he is currently going through.

Grant me the grace of possessing You eternally with Mary and Joseph and of adoring You with Your Holy Angels and Saints. Amen.
 
Praying urgently for you son that he will receive the care that he needs to resolve whatever is stressing and depressing him, and that he will find new wholsome purpose and happiness in his life. May God surround him with His Angels.

Thank you, I have loved/read this forum for years but never “needed” to post anything. I appreciate your prayers so much.
Son texted this morning and plans to check himself into a behavioral health facility. I’m praying he does and that it is the right place for him…
 
I’m praying for your son and for you. I’m glad to hear he texted with plans to seek help. I had a similar situation with my son, but he was in town so I was able to go get him and take him to hospital. He went through some extensive counseling - this was two years ago. The blessing is that your son and my son both knew they could call us for help.
 
I am praying for you and your son and that he finds that spark of love within his heart that comes from God. I can’t imagine how you must feel at this moment. I am praying for your continued strength and that all will come through with Jesus love and protection.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent , but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is love and mercy itself. Amen
