I feel guilty for this, as it’s quite hard for me to hold up my end of the bargain lately.

I’m in need of prayers. Depression has tightened its grip on an otherwise healthy, religious, employed 31 year-old.

Despair, exhaustion, and distraction fill my days.

I really dislike my job and I can’t focus on it.

I really dislike my neighborhood, but I can’t focus on moving up and out.

I’m tired all the time, and can’t exercise.

I fell off the dating wagon after ending a recent relationship. I feel too old/ugly/past my prime for another.

The self-pity and hopelessness abound. It’s hard to pray on it.

I am Praying for you. God has not given up on you. He still loves you regardless of how you feel about yourself. He died for you and wants to be in a relationship with you. Perhaps, you can take some time to get to know Him better.
 
I too know is kind of suffering; may the Lord comfort you and hold you in his arms. Believe, and know, that this too shall pass. If you can do nothing else, pray. I will pray for you every day. God Bless you.
