Prayers needed immediately! Nathan's grandfather had emergency surgery

I posted this on the prayer board as well, but the more prayers the merrier.

Please pray for my husband’s grandfather. He had emergency surgery to have his leg amputated - a terrible side effect of his out of control diabetes.

It has been a trying day for our family. He came out of surgery about 30 minutes ago, and he is supposedly doing well. The worst part is just two weeks ago they said that he wouldn’t need to have it done. Then at 5:30 PM this evening they found an infection that was completely spreading. He went into surgery immediately.

My husband and I live in Georgia, and the rest of his family lives in Ohio…so we are far away. Nathan is very upset that he can’t be there as he and his grandfather are very close.

Please pray to St. Anthony of Padua - the patron saint of amputees.

My prayers are with you and your family. My dad was a diabetic from the age of 10 - it’s a terrible disease.
 
I’ll be at weekday Mass tomorrow. At the weekday Mass Father asks for intentions at the prayers for intercession after the Gospel reading. I’ll be sure be sure to mention it.
