Here it goes,
I am in dire need of prayers, I’ll try to make this short.
During the Winter of 2009, my wife’s 3 children made an outcry to the alcohol use of their biological father. We reported the incident and we initiated an investigation in the matter. Their father and his family immediately took us to court on false allegations during the summer of 2010 as we were unraveling issues related to their outcry. During the summer of 2011 (And while still in Civil Court), my stepdaughter made the outcry of being molested by her biological father and in addition to that the two boys made outcries of being physically and mentally abused as well. So the court case goes on until March 2012 where the children were awarded to us, completely. Praise be to God!
We went through 3 attorneys and are still paying all 3 of them…
My wife has Celiac’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis and for the last 5 years we have been to more doctors that we can remember, her 3rd and most devastating disease is between Myastheinia Gravis or Multiple Sclerosis. The doctors can’t make reach a definite diagnosis. Up until the beginning of this year she was being treated as if she had MG and was prescribed with Mestinon, which was able to help her recover from her symptoms. Things have gotten more complicated and her therapist suspects MS more than MG - She has been in physical therapy 2-3 times a week during all these years.
My youngest (biological) son (8) is Autistic and has been in an autistic program since he was 2 years old. He has made progress, Praise be to God! But he is still in the spectrum and he is on vyvanse daily, which when he doesn’t take the dose the difference is incredible. It affects his appetite a lot and he is getting skinnier. He is having sinus surgery this Friday as we have been using home remedies and other medical treatments for him all year long trying to avoid surgery. I am very nervous about this surgery.
My youngest stepson (13), after he came to live with us we took him to a battery of tests and found out that he has Asperger syndrome and he also has some neurological issues due to having a seizure while he was in Mom’s tummy. He is a sweet kid but it is a challenge since we already have an autistic child in the house.
My stepdaughter (15) appears to have some regression in her outlook at life and of her value due to the abuse from her Dad. She is “cocooning” herself and her emotions and pretends that everything is ok. She has been in counseling all this time.
My oldest (16) is a hard working kid but he came from a drug and alcohol environment and he has major memory problems. I think we have been able to completely eradicate drug and alcohol from his life. He has no idea what to do with his life.
I am worn out from my work and I am completely incapable to properly managing our budget. In order to pay the retainer for each new attorney I had to completely use my line of credit and it is now maxed out. In addition, the dietary needs of my wife and my youngest son are very expensive. Also, the medical bills from the family are so much that every year by August/September we have already met our “Catastrophic” amount, Praise be to God!
I don’t know what I’m going to do. I am looking at bankruptcy as a solution but I am very afraid of that prospect. My work is very demanding and the workload is more than I can handle. My backlog is about a year and a half. We are understaffed and just lost our oldest member of 9 years, I have 6 years in and besides me now is a rookie of less than a year, lol. I work in computer forensics. Still, I need to find a 2nd job (Probably my own business) in order to get out of debt and care for my family.
About 3 weeks ago, I had an incident at work where I thought I was having a heart attack. And so did our medic and the doctors when made aware of my symptoms. I was rushed to the hospital and after a couple of days there they couldn’t find any muscle tissue on my blood (Common in heart attacks), they released me after I passed the stress/echo test and I will see the Cardiologist again on Wednesday. At this point, I suspect that I had an anxiety attack.
More than ever, I need God to help me make wise economical decisions and the strength to help my family. I need my wife and my children to be healed.
We all believe in the power of prayer and that everything is possible with Christ!
Some days are much harder than others, today is a very hard day.
God Bless you and thanks for your time and prayers!
