Prayers on the end of a relationship

Hi all.

Well after a long time with my common law wife we have decided to end our relationship, after more then a dozen years … I’m fine with it I think that it is the best choice for all involved but now I’m asking for prayers for her, my step children and even for myself for healing … That Christ may soothe our hurts and may he ease the stress of starting life anew

That she will come to see that I am still her “Friend” If not romantic partner any longer and I still do have her best interests at heart and that I will be there no matter what for her and her daughters Amen

Praying for your intentions. Also, you may want to speak with a Priest regarding Confession. This is a great opportunity for you to start fresh.

Dorothy Day left her common law partner once she was drawn to the Catholic faith. It was very difficult for her and very emotional, but also a healing and a beginning. I’d recommend The Long Loneliness for the account.
