Prayers or novena to find a spouse?

Does anyone have prayers or a novena that can be said for the intention of finding a spouse?

Also, I would love to know if it’s worked for anyone 🙂

My sister met her husband shortly after completing novenas to Saint Joseph & St Anne. I know Saint Raphael is frequently invoked for this intention also.

Thank you. I just found a novena to St Anne online so I’m starting it today 🙂

Dear Rose, I know you did not mean it like that, but prayers are not a spell, but a submission to God’s will for you in your life. Does that mean that He has a specific chess layout like the Ruy Lopez opening. Rather, if your life is attune to Him you are more likely to show the values and charisms that will attract a man of honour and faith that will make a good husband. Men are not as stupid as the television advertisements would have you believe.
When they are ready, and only when they are ready for marriage they look for the values that are important to them. Thus like really attracts like.
 
Just as I ended" The Holy Cloak in honour of St Joseph" I met my husband a year ago.
It is such a beautiful novena , and I have learnt so much about St Joseph and love for him through these prayers.

Thank you! I have never heard if it but looked it up. It’s very long but it is beautiful!
 
I have seen in CAF several people stating that the novena to st Anne worked for them. I also would mention the novena tobst Anthony of Padua. Finally I would just add to have faith. Put your entire trust in that your prayers will be answered and keep your eyes open around you.
 
Have you tried asking St. Anthony for help since you are trying to look for someone?
 
I prayed so hard I may have prayed my boyfriend into existence- but in my experience it all is worth it! St Anthony and St Anne have helped my prayers- and now I pray for continued chastity and grace in dating from Blessed Mother. We both found each other through nothing short of a miracle!

Continue to pray and consider this a time to pray for your future spouse, wherever they may be! Ill pray for you as well 👍👍

Also, it doesn’t hurt to try online dating. That’s where I was able to show the importance of my faith and find someone who respected it- makes it a lot easier than bringing it up later and finding incompatibilities. God bless!
 
I would suggest the 54 day rosary novena for someone who is serious about discerning God’s will about something. That is 54 rosaries over and above the ones that you already say. It is the “big guns” of prayer! The only better prayer would be daily Mass. This novena gives you plenty of time to meditate, and to hear what the Lord might be trying to tell you. Last Sunday’s gospel of the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes reminds us that our Lord wants to work with the human means we have available to give us what we need. I assume that you are already doing this, that is taking part in activites where you might meet eligible men, letting friends and family know you are looking, even using internet dating services. I understand how you feel. Although I have been married for 38 years, I was married quite late in life for my time. Even after marriage to my wonderful husband, it took years to shake off the feeling that there must be something wrong that no one wanted me.
 
You will find a spouse if that is Gods will for you.
It’s not your business to decide for yourself what your vocation in life is to be.
God wants 100% dedication from you that you will accept WHATEVER vocation he has prepared for you.

So the best thing for you to do is to ACCEPT that God perhaps does not want you to have a spouse and with a smile give up the right you think you have or the need you think you have for a spouse and follow God unreservedly where he wants to lead you. Give yourself to God unreservedly.

Make plans to take a year off to join a religious community where you are convinced that the community is filled with people of loving kindness and love that you have seen. Accept that you will seek the vocation there. Beware however that you find the real thing. Most religious communities are sick places it’s harder to find the real thing.

When I decided this and accepted my fate calmly agreeing to do whatever God wanted and agreeing within myself and accepting that I would try seek a religious vocation and resign from work and tell my family, after many many years of searching for my beloved spouse and not finding, well about 4 hours later I met my spouse and from the moment we looked into each other’s eyes we knew that we would be married.
 
I am currently praying the 54 Day Rosary Novena. Jackie Francois the chastity speaker/musician met her her husband while praying one.

I recently prayed a St. Anne and St Martha.

St Therese de Lisieux, Bl Marie Taigi (a couple people I know met their spouses online after this), St Joseph (I want a husband who models this man), St Raphael.

I have yet to meet my future husband but I have definitely grown in many ways that I believe will be essential to me in marriage.

I’ve already looked into religious life and do not have a vocation there.
Your post is ridiculous.
 
What I did before I met my husband is wrote a list with 3 columns:
Non-negotiable, negotiable, optional and wrote what characteristics
I needed in the non-negotiable (e.g. Believe in God) what I wanted (e.g. Humble),
And what I am open to in the Optional (e.g. College educated).
I prayed about this list along with my daily rosary lighting a white candle.
My aunt suggested 3 candles signifying the Holy Trinity.
I met my husband when I least expected, and sure enough he had
a good mix of what I prayed for. He mentioned when we were
dating that he prayed for someone like me. Don’t give up.
God will bless you when He knows the time is right for you.

You looked into religious life? Please explain?

If you are a devout catholic in Australia I really empathise with you, it’s a very difficult place to find a spouse.

I suggest you get on a plane and move to another country that has a massive young catholic population and go and find a very loving and intelligent spiritual director there.
