Prayers Please

Hi!

So in 19 hours I will be attending my first Mass, a lovely couple that I contacted from the Church said that they would pick me up, take me to Church and then sit with me and have a cup of tea and a chat after Mass as well to talk to me some more about the RCIA and the Catholic Church in general.
I am really excited but I am feeling very poorly today and do not want to miss out on this fantastic opportunity after planning for weeks to go to Church just because I’m a poorly girl with a bad case of the Sniffles 😦 I am also very nervous about going to Church for the first time in nearly 10 years and going to a Catholic Church and attending Mass for the first time ever!

Please pray that I still have the courage to go tomorrow and that I am feeling a little bit better?

Dear Kari, I hope you feel better soon.
How marvellous that you are excited to be going to your first Mass.
It sounds as if God has been offering you many graces and that you have been courageous and generous enough to accept them.
I ask Jesus to go hand in hand with you to Mass.

As luck would have it, I too am attending Mass for the first time in about 11 hours time.

I pray you feel better soon and you have an awesome time.

I have just returned from my first Mass… it was awesome 🙂
 
Almighty and eternal God, so draw her heart to thee, so
guide her mind, so fill her imagination, so control her
will, that she may be wholly thine, utterly dedicated unto
thee; and then use her, we pray thee, as thou wilt, and always
to thy glory and the welfare of thy people,

Grant, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that the words which
we have heard this day with our outward ears, may, through
thy grace, be so grafted inwardly in our hearts, that they may
bring forth in us the fruit of good living, to the honor and
praise of thy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I am so truly happy for you. We will keep you joyfully in our hearts and prayers.
