Hello,

A couple days ago my purse was stolen and everything was in it, even my social security card. I’ve just felt awful and feel nothing is going right. I know other people have worse problems than mine, but if you could spare some prayers for me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I am praying for your intentions. Also praying for the Medical Doctors that might be seen or if needed, in the future. It is nice to have already prayed for the Drs.(Our Lord knows who they are even if not born yet - long, healthy life 😉). Prayer of Apology and Thanksgiving because of human forgetfulness to say “thank You” to Our Lord. . . . 😉 🙂

O merciful Father,
Who have wonderfully fashioned man in Your own image,
and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit,
sanctify, we pray You, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to
…study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain.
Strengthen them in body and soul,
and bless their work,
that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation Your Son became Man,

Oh Blessed Saint Anthony! The grace of GOD has made you a powerful advocate in all necessities; and, the patron for the restoration of anything which is lost or has been stolen. I ask you, today, with child-like love; and heartfelt confidence to please help me recover what I have lost. You have been blessed with the gift of helping so many people who have come to ask your assistance in the recovery of lost goods. You were the counselor of the corrupt, you have been the comforter of the afflicted, the healer of the sick, the raiser of the dead, the deliverer of the captive, the refuge of all who have asked you for help.

I am asking you, Saint Anthony to help me in my personal affliction. I am trusting what I have lost to your care in the same secure hope, that you will restore it to me; if it is for the greater glory of GOD; and, to the spiritual welfare of my soul, that I may praise and thank you, in time and eternity, for your glorious intercession in my behalf. In the event that this is possible, I’m asking St. Anthony to help return your IDs to you. Maybe he can get the ones responsible to return your bag, or turn in your bag.

I am happy to pray for you, for the strength and energy to deal with this stressful situation, and some peace of mind.

I know how nerve wracking this can be. Cancelling cards, reordering IDs. About two weeks ago I misplaced my wallet with my ids, voter card, driver’s license. I thought they were stolen out of my handbag. I’ve had a bad habit of leaving my purse unzipped and my new purse has a huge opening. I went shopping someplace new, and put my purse down in the shopping cart and was distracted. So after looking ‘everywhere’, the car in every nook and cranny and every regular place I drop my bag at home, I re-ordered my drivers license and voter card.

The very day after I shelled out the replacement fees and making all those phone calls, I found the whole set of CCs and IDs in a purse I put in the corner of my closet! 🙂
I’m still very grateful to St. Anthony.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
