Prayers requested for a troubled seminarian

Please pray for my friend David. He is beginning seminary with the diocese this september, but is having trouble leaving his dad alone.

David’s dad has allowed himself to become bitter and hateful after the death of his wife and eldest son, taking out his grief on his new wife and remaining children. Please pray for him too.

David is thinking of postponing starting seminary until after his dad passes away as his dad’s behaviour has resulted in most people wanting nothing to do with him. Without David, he will have no-one.

Lord, I pray for this family to be healed after so much pain. Let David and his father come to terms with one another, reach a new place in their relationship, and embrace the next stage in their life as David goes to seminary.

Holy Mother, watch over this family.

Without David, he will have God.

He will have to turn to God but may hit rock bottom before he does, IMHO, just as I did.

I pray that David continue his trek to the Seminary and pray for his father to find God ASAP. I pray that this trap set by the enemy be lifted to our Lord and Savior so that David can continue on with his life in God.

Jesus please empty this father’s heart and mind of bitterness and fill him with kindness and peace. Help him to find new absorbing interests. Let Your call be fulfilled soon in David’s life. Thank You, Jesus
 
Heavenly Father, please hear Crepusculum’s intention to aid this potential seminarian in his horrible situation. By Your grace, hearts can be converted in an instant. Please flood with actual and lasting grace, all parties involved in Crepusculum’s intention, that Your will may be done mercifully. Mary, pray with us. Amen. :harp:
 
I totally agree with “Fortuna”
David should go ahead with his plans for the seminary and ask Our Lady to pray to the Holy Spirit to guide his father. He can also count on my prayers for his whole family. David just needs to TRUST

Please help David to make the right decision- speak to his heart your Word. Guide him and his father, please help them to heal divides and to turn back to you. Give them the grace to follow you faithfully and surround them with your love

Thank you all for your continued prayers - an update on this situation: David starts on the 5th of September. His dad is still far from comfortable with the idea, but with time I think he’ll come around. I still pray that he will find a way to love what he has left instead of constantly comparing it to what he lost.
