Prayers through going hard times?

hey guys do u know any prayers/ saints for going through a difficult time. i’m currently with heavy classes, don’t really know what direction i’m going, etc. lately it just feels like i’ve been talking to myself. it’d be appreciate it. thank you and God bless you all.

Most glorious Prince, Archangel Raphael, be mindful of us and pray for us, here and in every place, to the Son of God. O God, who gave your servant Tobias the holy archangel Raphael for a companion on his journey, grant that during our earthly pilgrimage we may always be protected by his watchful care and strengthened by his help. I’ll pray for you definitely. I know you’re busy. I don’t supposed you could take the time to talk to friends, family, or a priest, to help chart out your course. You have me worried when you say, “I don’t know what direction I’m going in.” I just had the thought that the devil prefers that we’re isolated and cut off from people. Not a good thing.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

I find that the so-called Mother Theresa Emergency Novena helps.

Say the Memorare prayer 9 times in a row for a certain petition, with the sign of the cross after each Memorare.

This is the prayer:

*Remember O most loving Virgin Mary that never was it known in any age that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided, inspired by this confidence, therefore I fly to thee O Virgin of Virgins my Mother, to you do I come, before you I stand sinful and sorrowful, do not O Mother of the Word Incarnate despise my prayers but in thy mercy graciously hear and answer them.

Amen.*

At the end you pray the 10th Memorare for thanksgiving. End with the sign of the cross.

I’ve used this several times…wonderful. Brings serenity too.

Another one I’ve done is to simply “take Mary” with me. I’ve taken her into combat with the Marines…she’s helped me…I simply chat with her as I go through some events…“come on Mary, My Mother, I ran the last mile, this one is yours!”

Two prayer suggestions.
One is an old favorite, but too often neglected: Lord…HELP ME!

The other is well-known in its short form, but the long form is made for keeping difficult times in perspective. I mean the Serenity Prayer:

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

The third suggestion is that when things get very hard, and especially if you are facing temptation, give praise and glory to God. Get specific…rejoice in the Lord! The tempter does not like to stick around to listen to that, and that leaves more elbow room for the angels.
