In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world. We come to you today with our fears and concerns – You know what’s in our hearts. We love You, trust You, we need You. We ask You to be with us. Stay with us. Help us through these times of uncertainty and sorrow.

We know you are the Divine Physician, the healer of all. And so we ask that you bring your loving and healing presence to all those who are sick and suffering right now. Please comfort them.

Please be with the grieving families of those who have passed away.

Please have mercy on those who have died, may they be with You in heaven.

Please stand at the side of all medical professionals who are putting themselves at risk while they work to bring healing to others.

Lord, we are scared and we are sorrowful. Please heal us. Send us your peace and overwhelming presence.

Please end the COVID-19 pandemic now.

St. Damien of Molokai, you put yourself at risk to minister to those suffering from leprosy, pray for us!

Jesus, we thirst for You. You chose to enter this world as a vulnerable baby. Be with the most vulnerable now. Help us to continue to return to You with our whole hearts throughout this ordeal.

Let us pray, dearly beloved, for a swift end to the coronavirus pandemic that afflicts our world, that our God and Father will heal the sick, strengthen those who care for them, and help us all to persevere in faith.

Almighty and merciful God, source of all life, health and healing, look with compassion on our world, brought low by disease; protect us in the midst of the grave challenges that assail us and in your fatherly providence grant recovery to the stricken, strength to those who care for them, and success to those working to eradicate this scourge.

We ask you this thru Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and Holy Spriit, one God, forever and ever. Amen

COVID-19 PRAYER

Lord Jesus, you heal the sick. We pray that the coronavirus that has affected so many in our world can be contained, controlled, and cured. We lift up to your mercy all those affected, all those working hard to study and cure this illness, and all health care professionals and emergency management teams that are working day and night to keep us safe. Help us, Lord, to trust in your merciful care. Lord Jesus, hear our prayer.

PRAYER IN A TIME OF PANDEMIC
O God of compassion,
your people are anxious
in this time of pandemic.
Send your Holy Spirit among us
to dispel our fears.
We cry out to you in our confusion;
comfort us in our affliction.
Grant our leaders wisdom to guide us.
Strengthen and sustain those who are ill,
and be with those who care for them.
Help us to travel this road
in solidarity with our neighbors,
with our eyes fixed on the salvation
promised us through the death and resurrection
of your Son,
who is Lord forever and ever.
Amen.
