Prayers to have hope again

I need some prayers as I am loosing hope in my life. I felt hope for the first time in about a year this month when I really had reason to suspect pregnancy. That hope is now shattered, and I want nothing more that to have that feeling back again. It felt so nice again, after being gone for so long.

Prayers for healing in mind and body. Prayers for miracles of God’s love in my life. Prayers for an ongoing special intention to be able to conceive and bring children into this world.

**Prayers that I stop being afraid of God, and can realize he loves me as is without being someone/something I am not (or could have been.) Prayers that I realize he doesn’t hate me and is not mad at me, and that my scrupulosity is healed. **

I pray to Almighty God that you may be able to find the courage to increase your Faith in Him daily, that you may find peace through prayer and reflection. I pray that through His most Beloved Son, Jesus, you will be granted with the ability to place your utmost trust In His Most Sacred Heart. I pray that Jesus will increase His Mercy within you and shelter you from all other conflicting thoughts.

I am praying for you Convert 99. I am going to go pray part of the rosary now and will include your intentions in my prayers.

Convert, your closeness to God is revealed by your suffering. Remember what great effect came of the innocent suffering of Christ. As you endure this suffering, so too is the Body of Christ made stronger, and for that I thank you.

I pray you have strength beyond that which you could have imagined. That God work in your life to heal you, have mercy on your sufferings, and bring you into the joy He wills for us all.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares about you.

Lord, bless this young lady with courage, and may her prayers be answered in accord with Your holy will. Amen.

Praying, and remember that spiritual dryness is felt by everyone. I have been there so many times. Will offer this up at mass today and I hope you find the joy and peace that you seek:thumbsup:
 
Hi Convertin99,

I will continue to keep you in my prayers. If you haven`t read it already, I really recommend the book Arise from Darkness. After the Bible, that is a book I turn to time and time again. I find that reading Proverbs also helps when I am struggling with despair.

Dear Convertin99…You are indeed undergoing trial and temptation - invest in what our Faith tells us and try anyway to downplay negative feelings. Much easier to write about, I know, than to effect. Convert-

A year and a half ago I went through a renewal/reaffirmation process that has changed my life in ways I can’t even express. I “converted” nearly 20 years ago, and I had been looking for something that my wife had (a cradle Catholic), and I KNEW I wanted. For one thing, I didn’t feel loveable and I just always wondered “if” God really loved me (and how much). Going through that process I found out both, and I try to grow closer to Him everyday - even though many days I fail…miserably.

But, God amazes me everyday. Everyday, He make sure my needs are met, but not always my wants. Everyday, I’m realizing more and more that without God I would have nothing, and I would be nothing because all “good” things come from Him. And everyday, He reminds me how much He loves me, by showing me how much He has given me.

I have a story for you:
There were two farmers during a severe drought. Both farmers desparately needed rain for their crops and prayed for God to send rain. One of the farmers went out and prepared his crops for rain.

Which one had faith in God? The one that prepared his crops of course.

And, “God will send the rain when He is ready”.

Heavenly Father, please give Convert in 99 the courage and conviction to prepare her crops for the rain that only You can provide. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
