Prayers to lower gas prices

Greetings my CAF Catholic Family.
I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to post this prayer request this morning. I know that God has done miraculous deeds in our lives and even we have witnessed small miracles happening in our family and so on. I know that Jesus made the blind man see, the lame man walk and even a personal testomony I have even prayed to ask Him to keep mosquitos away from me and He did! So my Catholic brothers and sisters, Let us band together and unite in prayer so that The Holy Spirit will touch the hearts of those responsible for the gas price to make them go down so that we can make a living. I know from being in a single income family how much tougher it is with living these days. Everything is so costly from clothing to the basic needs of groceries and other things. So lets pray and ask God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, The Blessed Mother, and all the Saints and Angels to get the cost of petroleum to go down. Saint Jude intercede for us since you are the Patron of hopless causes. Amen

I feel this is important and more prayers are good. I will place this intention in my chapel at my church( Eucharistic adoration)

I’m praying with you

Lord at times Man’s intentions are very selfish. For instance when prices are set so that some of the richest men and women can become richer.

Please bless these administrators so that prices will be fair to everyone.

Please God,help us in our struggle with the high gas prices. Help and Guide the large companies to lower the prices of gas so we can afford to commute to our work and continue our daily activities. Please God, hear our prayer …
 
Dear Lord look on the situation we in this country have coping with extremely high petroleum prices and diesel and gasoline and heating oil too . Lord let the people in control of the oil in this country open up the oil reserves we have in tanks and so it will lower the prices to help all of us American people cope . Thanks Lord for doing this for all of us , in the name of Jesus, amen . Keep praying for this , I know the Lord hears our prayers . Praise the Lord ! , your brother in Christ, John

While reading your OP, I raised my finger to object and had opened my mouth to speak when I arrived at the request of St. Jude and stopped. I chuckled at that point and closed my mouth, keeping silent. The issue of oil and its by-products, indeed, is one of those hopeless causes at this point in human history. As a natural resource, it is, by nature, limited. And the reason gas prices are now skyrocketing is because we are running completely out. This may come as a shock to some, but more and more scientists are coming on board and admitting this alarming truth.

It is my understanding that the “strategic oil reserves” this country has stock piled do not amount to anywhere near enough for us to make use of them for the long term purpose of permanently decreasing oil prices. Thus, I was set to object to your impossible request, but, yes, indeed, with God (and St. Jude’s intercession), all things are possible.

This said, I believe that the Lord is and has been trying to tell us Americans something about how greedy we are as a people and how much in need of “simplification” we are. Our current gas prices are not so much an unjust “scourge” as a lesson, I believe. A difficult lesson, but one that is much needed and long overdue for a country so absorbed in focusing on the self and failing to meet the TRUE needs of others…

First of all. God Bless you. I am sorry you feel the way that you do. But to me God can provide for each of us. This is not a debate forum. It is a place to go and ask for prayers regarding* any situation no matter what.* If your faith is not strong enough to believe that God can move mountains and sort, That is between you and God. But for me Nothing is impossible to God. If you want to get into the scientific aspects of it then so be it. It sometimes makes me wonder if some people instead of being Catholics should go join that crazy bunch of people such as John Travolta and Tom Cruise who believe in the Scientology garbage. But with my God all things are possible and laugh as you want but we here will continue to pray as we see fit. Thank you. God Bless you, Mary Keep you. As for me and my household we will serve The Lord of All Things Great and Small.

“Looking back”, perhaps placing my post in a thread that is designed simply for prayer requests was an inappropriate call. Rest assured, however, that it was well-intended and meant to invoke reflection, not to agitate or to suggest that God is weak or incapable of doing this, that, or the other thing.

SK… It is all good. I am sorry too if I came across abrupt. I just feel like if Jesus could feed all them people on 5 loaves of bread and two fish and still have many left over that He can help us too in this matter. I am trying to live by the saying of… Dont tell God how big your troubles are… Tell your troubles how big your God is. God Bless you my friend and I will be praying for you too for whatever you may need. Know in your heart that even though these are words through a computer that we are brothers and sisters in Christ and that I do love you. (((hugs))

Dear Lord , allow the hearts of the President and Vice President and all the politicians and oil leaders in this country to release our oil reserves and thus allow the price of our fuel oil and diesel and gasoline to drop to moderate levels . Lord thank you for doing this , I love you dear Lord , in the name of Jesus, amen . Yes I know our LORD hears our prayers ! , your brother in Christ, John

going without heat and transportation.
You see the middle class becoming homeless
as their homes are forclosed on.
We ask you to help us in this crisis.

Father, we also need to apologize for the
horrible things we have done to our planet.
We ask you to make us all more aware
of our surroundings. Help us to care for
the environment you have so graciously
given us.

We ask you to also touch the media
and all of the reporters in this country.
Give them a conscience so that they
will report only the truth. We have seen
that they cause the problems and prices
to escalate due to their falsified reporting
and tactics.

We pray that you guide us during this
up-coming election. Help us to elect
governing bodies that care about the
people they govern. Help us to elect
those who stand for you and your word.

We have full faith in you Father.

All things are possible to God…and one cannot complain one never gets a miracle if one never asks. Praying that petrol prices will come down and that struggling financially families and individuals everywhere will be relieved of an increasingly heavy financial load…
