Let me first tell you what I understand then you can tell me where I am wrong and offer guidence.
I believe that Prayers to the dead are a sin. Prayers for the dead are not sin. That said I also believe that somebody who is alive and well in heaven can be spoken to and can be prayed with.
Aside from the Blessed virgin and perhaps Saint Joseph how do we know who we can and can not invoke.
We are absolutely certain that Marry is in heavan because we know that Christ honors his Mother and Father.
Aside from that one instance can anyone give me any reasoning to be 100% certain of any others.
