Holy Spirit, come into Sol’s heart; draw it to Thee by Thy power, O my God, and grant her charity with filial fear. Preserve her, O ineffable Love, from every evil thought; warm her, inflame her with Thy dear love, and every pain will seem light to her. My Father, my sweet Lord, help my friend Sol in all her actions. Jesus, love, Jesus, love. Amen.

Prayer to St. Elizabeth Seton For Constancy And Comfort

Your life was full of immense suffering, yet you maintained your faith. Even during your deepest sorrows, you served others. You said, “Tribulation is my element,” and saw beyond your suffering and into others. I would ask you, Mother Seton, to stand with Sol when she hurts the most. Help her develop compassion - compassion for her suffering and through it, compassion for the wounds and sorrows that all other people hold. Show her the path through her sufferings that will lead her to know more love, and through that love know more about God. Amen.

PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT:

Spirit of wisdom and understanding, enlighten our minds to perceive the mysteries of the universe in relation to eternity. Spirit of right judgment and courage, guide us and make us firm in our baptismal decision to follow Jesus’ way of love. Spirit of knowledge and reverence, help us to see the lasting value of justice and mercy in our everyday dealings with one another. May we respect life as we work to solve problems of family and nation, economy and ecology. Spirit of God, spark our faith, hope and love into new action each day. Fill our lives with wonder and awe in your presence which penetrates all creation. Amen.

Hope everyone is doing well. My husband & I are to begin marriage counseling early next week. Please pray that we will be able to reconcile our marriage. Our daughter deserves a two parent biological home not a dysfunctional one. I am sure that it will take much work, but everything is possible with God. I believe in miracles.

Lord, help Sol and her husband to remember when they first met and the strong Love that grew between them.

To work that Love into practical things so nothing can divide them.

My husband and I had a bad argument over the weekend. It turns out he is still dating his mistress!! I felt so betrayed & devastated. We are scheduled for marriage counseling later today, but it seems that it will be useless because he continues to cheat.

It seems like he does not want to reconcile our marriage. Maybe he wants us to improve our communication or needs a mediator. However, I am looking to salvage our marriage. I plan to attend today’s appointment, but I am not sure whether I will continue to attend. It seems useless.

I had not given up faith, but my husband’s actions and behaviors keep “slapping me in the face”. Please pray for our family. How can that woman live with herself? I am pretty sure she is Catholic but without morals.

Sol, I am so sorry this happened to you. I don’t understand women like this woman. My sister had this happen to her, but this woman went and did the same thing to her ex and had an affair with another man. He did not like it when it was him being betrayed. He realized how my sister felt. Women like this do this a lot and she will do it again. I one that broke up my sister’s marriage had a reputation as a “home wreaker” but at least this time the man she went after is not married but just rich. She did something worse, she abandoned her kids for this man. It did not surprise me for all that she put my sister through and my neice and nephew, but she surprised her husband, my ex BIL. They are not divorce and she is working on husband number 4. She too is a Catholic with no morals. All we can do is pray for their souls.

I will pray for your husband to see his errors before it is too late. I will continue to pray for your marriage, but he does have free will. It is a difficult time for you and unfortunately, I have see three sisters go through this a MIL. I don’t understand men these days. I recently asked a minister what he thought of the high divorce rate and he said it was because people are selfish and looking at what pleases them and not their partners as they should be doing. You are a selfless person and thinking of ways to please your husband and trying so hard to make this marriage work, just as all my sisters did, but if your husband is not willing to work at it either, you may not have anything to work out anymore. I will pray for a miracle for God said that Nothing is impossible with him. I see you have incredible faith and you are hanging on to that and you are a remarkable woman of faith for all of us. Stay strong and the Lord will let you know when it is time to give in to what is happening, but until then, work hard to save your marriage.

You are an inspiration to us all. Sol, you will be in my daily Rosaries. God Bless you, and hang on to Jesus and His Cross. Meditate on His sufferings to help you with all of yours. :hug3:

Try to concentrate on your baby and positive thoughts, as hard as that may be.

My heart aches for you. I am in a similar situation and I will pray extra hard that everything works out for you. With God nothing is impossible.

Thank you for your prayers. My husband met with the therapist yesterday, and I met with her this afternoon. Our therapist seems positive and believes we can work it out, but I am not sure my husband will give it his all. She would like to see us as a couple again in the next two weeks. I will listen to her advice, and will continue to pray. Please continue to pray for us. Thank you & God bless.
