Hi Sol, although I have not responded in a while, you are included in my daily prayers. I hope the situation with your husband continues to improve and that the Holy Spirit blesses you both and your baby.

Just came across your story today, and it touched my heart. I’m married with 5 children and know a little about marital strife. I was actually looking for ideas to help my cousin whose marriage is in turmoil, and ran across your story. I pray to Our Lord and Our Lady as well for your marriage to be healed.

You’re probably already doing it, but a daily Rosary sounds like a great option if you’re interested in employing heavy spiritual artillery.

Moreso, not too long ago, I was lukewarm in my faith and not as good a husband as I should have been…well…my wife signed up for an hour of Eucharistic Adoration each week, and once she paired that with her rosaries (and novena to St. Therese the Little Flower), it wasn’t long before it touched Our Lord’s Heart and He got my attention with a solid dose of Holy Fear. I’ve been on a pretty aggressive conversion path ever since…and there’s more…but needless to say I know first hand, Our Lord wasn’t kidding when he said you gain much from being ‘a pest’ like the persistent widow in the Gospels, at Eucharistic Adoration. This would be your option if you’re interested in employing nuclear spiritual munitions.

My husband & I will be going on a date tomorrow evening which was suggested by our therapist. Please pray that everything goes well. I know that we cannot resolve our issues overnight, but I hope that this date will be the beginning of our reconciliation.

Our next marriage counseling session is next week. Our baby is doing great!! Thanks again for your prayers. God bless.
