Sorry about not posting for quite some time. My situation remains the same, he filed for divorce on his birthday but has not served me. Please continue to pray for a reconciliation between us.

My husband served me for divorce on Holy Saturday. I did not have any other option but search for and hire and attorney. My husband happens to be lawyer, and he actually petitioned for full custody of our daughter. Unbelievable because he is the one that abandoned us!! I had to respond and file an appearance within 30 days of being served. It seems like there is no turning back. I tried my best and prayed many novenas for a reconciliation, but I am now heading for a divorce!! I prayed to God, the Virgen Mary, many Saints and Angels, but my prayers were not answered.

My husband committed adultery, dissipated martial assets and denied it until a few months after my daughter’s birth. We attended marriage counseling, but he was still “dating” his mistress. He supposedly left her for 30 days so he can “work” on our marriage. He believes it was not an affair because we were not together. How can he live with himself?

Please pray that I be awarded full custody, maintenance and proper child support. He is taking me to court for Father’s Day Visitation. He gets to see her pretty much whenever he wants. This is costing me money, time and stress. Please pray for us. Thank you!!

My heart cries for you! I’m so sorry to hear of your situation with your husband. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you! I pray that Our Lady covers you and your daughter in the folds of her mantle. Take care. (Hugs)

You are in my prayers tonight and have been for some time now. I was in your shoes just last year, only my kids are older (early teens). I never wanted a divorce but like you my husband abandoned us - he refused to even consider any kind of counseling or even to tell the kids about the divorce (I had to do it alone). There was no other woman, although I did find out later he has a prescription medication addiction.

The divorce process is brutal – please be sure to keep talking to your priest and a therapist too if possible – but with lots of prayer, a good support network, and the grace of God you will get through it. Lean on God and you will find that even in the midst of all the pain and chaos and craziness He will provide you with the strength and love you need to see you through.
