Prayers Urgently needed for Protestant Converting to Catholic

Hello all,

My fiancé is in the process of converting to Catholic but his family has been very resistant… To the point of threatening my and my family’s safety if he doesn’t give up… Your prayers are urgently needed. I have hope that the Lord will watch over us… But it is a very trying time. Please pray for all of us.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to his assistance.

besides prayers ,your fiance should inform his parents that there are numerous former anti catholic pastors,lay men and women,missionaries et al who have converted to the church they used to despise.there may be books on converts to the faith on your library on how about video testimonies on chnetwork.org or at ewtn.com.hope and pray that your dilemma will be resolved soon.peace
 
Praying that the Lord may watch over you and your family. Also praying for all necessary graces for your fiancé and for his family.

An excellent point, many of the great Catholic apologists started out as Protestants and are able to clearly and convincingly explain the faith.

As a registered Protestant here, i am totally appalled that physical harm would come to anyone who wants to change the way they worship. The only faith you would think would do that is Islam. Can you what say what denomination of faith it is? I assure you this family does not represent Protestants. I pray for the safety of the families involved, and of course the Truth is found thru Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. And a very Merry Christmas!

Dearest LORD,

I pray for her fiance to have discernment, to see the truth, the truth that is Christ Jesus without being covered by man-made religion, and to do what the Holy Spirit instills in him what is the right thing to do. I also pray that he has the strength, love, and patience to bestow on his family members during this time of trial.

I pray for her, LORD, that she can remain calm and supportive and not feed fuel to this firey mire of strife.

I pray for his family that they understand how to love regardless of someone’s decisions. I pray they see a better way to explain themselves. Obviously, they care about him. Thank you LORD.

As always, LORD, there are two sides to every story, and we have only received one side here. I pray that all concerned, indeed even other forum members, lift this family up to You, the All Powerful, the Healer, and do not let man’s sinful nature make this thread a divisive one.

Praying! Stay strong. IMO they lost a lot of credibility when they threatened physical violence!
