I remeber that the Catholic church has odles of fomalized prayers (grace for meals, the prayer of St. Francisis ect.) and I always enjoy the few that I know (which sadaly isn’t that many right now). So I was hoping that someone could direct me to a book or a website or something so I could learn some more?

Also, I am in R.C.I.A. right now and I was wondering how confession was supposed to go. I know that there is “forgive me father for I have sinned. It has been (x time) scince my last confession…” but, I don’t know if there is anything else in it (you know, Preist says then I say , then he says then I stand and say then…). Could someone tell me show when my first confession comes around I don’t make a complete fool out of myself?
 
After you say how long it’s been since your last confession (or if it’s your first) and you confess your sins by type and number (no need to go into the gory details unless you feel you need to in order to get proper guidance) and then it’s a good idea to end with “and for these and all the sins of my life, I am truly sorry.” Then, the priest will give you your penance and you will then make an act of contrition. An act of contrition is simply a prayer expressing your sorrow. Usually there will be one posted in the confessional.

Don’t worry, they should go through confession in RCIA, and many churches also have panphlets near wherever confession is held- you’ll see the people in line flipping through them, usually 🙂

What if I can’t remeber the numbers?
 
Don’t worry about it. i usually specify “more than once” if the sin was uncountable, or once if it was an isolated incident. The details aren’t as important as the confession itself.

lol! I don’t think there is a number for a particular prayer, but what he meant was how many time did you commit the sin. And, you can say approximately how many times or a few times, lots of time, ect.
Sorry if I misunderstood your question on this!
