Praying Before Drinking

Hello!

Should one pray before drinking as they do before eating? Liquids are nourishment for the body, so it is something that we should thank God for.

Thank God whenever you feel called to. He does not get tired of our worship!

That said, it’s not required to or sinful to not.

I certainly do. 🙂

I will often thank the Good Lord for the drink that I have, besides the food that I am eating.

I especially like to drink water, so I will thank Him for the blessing of having good water to drink.
 
There may not be any beer in Heaven (who knows, really?) but Jesus said He would drink the “fruit of the vine” (wine) with His followers in Heaven. Thankfully, I like wine, don’t like beer, so I should enjoy the wine in Heaven!! LOL

We generally pray before main meals, rather briefly to be honest, and I am a bit of a slacker when it comes to saying grace.

On the other hand, if we’re going to say grace for all things at all times, we’d have to mutter a prayer before taking every breath.
