How does everyone here pray in those minutes before Mass – right after genuflecting, entering the pew, and kneeling down?

I thank God for the opportunity to worship in His presence, ask Him to bless my family and/or friends I am with, ask Him to bless those who choose not to come to His celebration and to lead them to the fullness of Truth. Then I ask God to help me see Him in the Mass and not the imperfections.

I pray for my family and my finace’s family, and I ask for the Grace to participate wrothily in Mass. I pray for any special intentions so that I won’t forget hopefully, and I often pray for the Grace to prevent my mind from wandering. Finally, I thank God that I am there as I have a chronic health condition and being at Mass is not soemthing to be taken for granted. Thanks and God Bless.

I thank God that I am able to once again be present for the Holy Sacrifice of His Body and Blood. I tell God what my intentions are for the Mass. I prepare prayerfully to receive Communion.

First I say hello to Jesus, and ask him if He has had a good day, are the people with Him in their heart outnumbering those that do not believe. Then I thank Jesus for my family and friends’ health and safety, and all the gifts He has given me, especially dying on the cross to save me eternally. I then thank God the Father for his infinite love for me, and the gracious gift of salvation He has given me. Then I prepare for Mass by saying I am sorry for my sins, I am a sinner, but with His help I will try very hard never to sin again. Please send the Holy Spirit to me to help me resist the temptation of evil and Satan.

I close then by saying I hope you have a great day Jesus!

I usually say a Hail Mary since I’ll say the Our Father later. I then thank God for my blessings and ask Him to bless my family members, name by name, problem by problem.

I used to try to say lengthy and numerous prayers before mass. Then one morning something spoke inside my heart that simply said, “Be still and know that I am God. hear me”.

Ever since then I just try to sit in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament and listen to God’s still small soft voice inside.

I usually pray a quick thank you to the Lord for inviting me to the Mass and for another day of life.

I try to get to Church 15 mins before the first Mass of each day. My prayers usually include some or all of the following:

I thank God for bringing me to another day
I ask God to be merciful to me a sinner and I pray the first 2 verses of Psalm 50.
I ask the Holy Spirit to come and fill me with His presence and I ask Him to cleanse my heart and my mind and to open my heart and mind to the great mystery that will unfold before me.
I then ask him to grant me wisdom and discernment so that I may be truly and fully nourished in heart and mind through Word and Sacrament.
I pray for the Priest who is about to offer the Holy Sacrifice that he may realise exactly what he is about to do.
I ask Mary, my Mother Immaculate, St Joseph My Father and Lord, and my Guardian Angel to intercede for me and to obtain for me through their powerful intercession the graces I need to enter into the Great and Holy Mystery a little less unworthily.
I finish with a little prayer to Blesseds Jacinta and Francisco Marto, Sr. Lucia and Our Late Holy Father Pope John Paul II to pray for us all.

Hmmmmmmmmm :hmmm: Now I realise, since I have typed this, that I am doing a lot of asking and little listening… :hmmm:

I say a combination of my morning & evening prayers. If time permits (since the little ones have arrived, that is rarely the case), I say five decades of the rosary.

I pray the pardon prayers, then offer the Mass to the Father as adoration, praise, thanksgiving, propitiation and reparation. I ask for the conversion of sinners, starting with me, my family and friends. I ask for the dispositions of Our Lady during the Mass and especially at Holy Communion.

Then I try and just be quiet before the Blessed Sacrament and pray for the grace of true contrition and for my sins and hidden sins to be taken away.
