Since it seems that you did not read my whole post i repeat:
The patronising and demeaning attitude might be, classifying categorically certain practices as ’ right ’ / Eastern and 'orthodox ’ , only fit for such and such , denying history such as how the Stations of The Cross devotion came to be , from the bl.Mother herself etc . and allowing such attitudes to contaminate other areas as well , to some extent , may be from having taken in too much of what the term orthodox means , which ,
in directly could be telling the other Churches that they are not !
And even as of The East , we have difft. backgrounds and related roles ,also related to less intrusions from powers hostile to the faith itself too ; if incapable of listening to other’s efforts to share such views with respect , without efforts at ( ? familiar ) intimidation tactics , please refrain !
The Rosary and the Stations of the Cross are wonderful Western devotions.
The Jesus Prayer and the Akathist Hymn to the Mother of God are wonderful Eastern devotions.
Our Eastern devotions are just as powerful and important as the Western ones. Our Eastern Churches are just as Catholic as the Western ones. Our Eastern traditions are just as valid as the Western ones.
And, many of our Eastern devotions came from private revelations just like the Western ones.
