I’m not happy with the state of my life right now, and I know something has to change. I just don’t know what that something is. I don’t really know in which direction I should go and, I don’t know what what would make me happy (or quite frankly if at this point, it’s even possible to be happy). When I have something specific for which I’m praying, I’m fully devoted to it because I feel like I have goal in mind (if that makes any sense). I’m at a loss for how to approach this spiritually. I’m doing the St Andrew Novena, but my mind wanders terribly during it. I kind of just want to throw my hands up in the air and say “God, I don’t know what to do”. It seems like that’s all I can manage at times.

I turned 46 today, and I’m reflecting a lot on my life and how I got to where I am, and I feel like a lot of the choices I’ve made have been really bad ones. I’m filled with a lot of regret right now. I feel like I not only missed out on a lot of life because of my choices, but I’ve now finally - FINALLY - come to realize that I never really discerned about what was right for me, and let my shyness and fears get in the way. They still kind of do, and I’m so tired of it. It’s a constant struggle. I want to be free of it.

Any prayers that could be offered would be appreciated. I just feel lost.

Hi Denise,

((Denise)),

I am so sorry for your struggles.

Prayers said for you.

Happy Birthday to you!

May God bless you during this difficult time for you.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.

:gopray:

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

St. Michael the archangel, defend us in battle,
be our protection against the snares and
wickedness of the devil. May God rebuke him,
we humbly pray, o prince of heavenly host, by
the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all
the evil spirits who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Lord! Send some huge blessings to Denise in New York! She has realized some mistakes and bad decisions were made. Shyness and fear led her to where she really didn’t want to go. She is sorry and you understand all. Please send her a big dose of your grace & mercy. Help her start anew asking you first about her next decisions. Send her on a new path of holiness, walking side by side with you. We pray for her through Jesus’ sweet name. Amen

A Prayer to Redeem Lost Time
by St. Teresa of Avila

Oh my God, Source of all mercy! I acknowledge
Your sovereign power. While recalling
the wasted years that are past,
I believe that You, Lord, can in an instant
turn this loss to gain. Miserable as I am,
yet I firmly believe that You can do all things.
Please restore to me the time lost,
giving me Your grace, both now and in the future,
that I may appear before You in wedding garments. Amen.

***Do I ever know how you feel. A lot of people go through this. I turned forty-five last July. It is crazy, but there is something mysterious about mid-life. It is like we reflect upon all we have done: good or bad.I went back to college seeking my degree. I figure that you are religious. Seek God for guidance, foremost, but realize the past is the past. You cannot change it. But, you are still young, like me. You probably have another 45 years to give; to give to God and to you and yours. Pray upon matters and consider this age a new beginning; one in yourself and one in HIM! God bless you !
