that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent,
but with great confidence submit ourselves
to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we offer this Divine Mercy Chaplet for vocations to Priesthood
and Religious life, that they will respond and be faithful. We pray for the holiness
and welfare of Your priests, that they will be true Shepherds of their people.

Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail, Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord. He was conceived by
the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again.
He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion
of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

I hope it’s OK to enter something besides the divine mercy chaplet. I want to mention how an ordained deacon, now an ordained priest, helped me return to the church after being
gone for 45 years. This was a year ago.
Deacon Garrick and Father McNeely were passing my apartment and I was outside it.
They were dressed in pre-Vatican II garments. I left the church as a teenager largely
because of Vatican II. I started taking to deacon Garrick and told him I often wished I
could speak to a priest that didn’t know me and I didn’t know him for anonymity. He
arranged for a priest from the church to see me. During our talk it became clear I wanted
to return and received absolution after general confessional
Deacon Garrick called me every week for 2 months after returning to the seminary. He
asked a Carmelite mother to pray for me. He was ordained a priest this May. The church
I attend is EF. I didn’t have a clue that Latin mass had been re-approved.
The point is without them I wouldn’t have returned.
I am an example of the need for priests and religous vocations.
I thank God I’m back in His flock.

O Almighty and Eternal God, look upon the Face of Thy Christ, and for love of Him Who is the eternal High-priest, have pity on Thy priests. Remember, O most compassionate God, that they are but weak and frail human beings. Stir up in them the grace of their vocation which is in them by the imposition of the Bishop’s hands. Keep them close to Thee, lest the enemy prevail against them, so that they may never do anything in the slightest degree unworthy of their sublime vocation.

O Jesus, I pray Thee for Thy faithful and fervent priests; for Thy unfaithful and tepid priests; for Thy priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields; for Thy tempted priests; for Thy lonely and desolate priests; for Thy young priests; for Thy aged priests; for Thy sick priests; for Thy dying priests; for the souls of Thy priests in Purgatory.

But above all I commend to Thee the priests dearest to me: the priest who baptized me; the priests at whose Masses I assisted and who gave me Thy Body and Blood in Holy Communion; the priests who taught and instructed or helped me and encouraged me; all the priests to whom I am indebted in any other way, particularly (your priest’s name here). O Jesus, keep them all close to Thy heart, and bless them abundantly in time and in eternity. Amen. Mary, Queen of the clergy, pray for us; obtain for us many and holy priests. Amen. :highprayer::signofcross:
