I have two in particular in mind. But if you are one, or thinking about a vocation to the priesthood, I am praying for you to accept the call. 🙂

Our Father
Hail Mary
Glory be
Amen

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

†

They all have my prayers.

“Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.”
“I plead with you! Never, ever give up on hope, never doubt, never tire, and never become discouraged. Be not afraid.”
“If He asks much of you, it is because He knows you can give much.”

now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Prayer for Seminarians

Oh God, hear our prayer for the men you have chosen to follow in your Son’s footsteps. Teach them humility and fidelity to unselfishly help others. May their devotion to Our Blessed Mother, Queen of Vocations, increase, enabling them to do Your will. Strengthen their prayer lives that they may grow spiritually without worldly distractions. Give them courage and perseverance in their studies. May the Holy Spirit lighten their struggles with their vocations, until they know the joy of being priests.

We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

Hail, O Illustrious Saint Philomena, who so courageously shed thy blood for Christ, I bless the Lord for all the graces He has bestowed upon thee, during thy life, especially at thy death, I praise and glorify Him for the honor and power with which He has crowned thee, and I beg thee to obtain for me from God the graces I ask through thy intercession. Amen.
