Praying for Specific Soul

Greetings-
I would like to pray for one specific person that I am almost certain is in purgatory since this person was very very close to me and has let me know that she is most surely is not in Heaven. She has told me that where ever she is, there are many levels and she is not happy to be there. Levels, are their levels in purgatory?
I have researched prayers for purgatory but all of them are intended for the soul which is closest to attaining Heaven and that is fine, I certainly do not mind praying for that soul! But I would also like to pray for the soul of my friend.
What could these levels mean? Can I pray for her specifically if she is in purgatory?

Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious Blood of Your divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; And let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen

O Lord, ever merciful and bounteous with Your gifts, look down upon the suffering souls in purgatory. Remember not their offenses and negligences, but be mindful of Your loving mercy, which is from all eternity. Cleanse them of their sins and fulfill their ardent desires that they may be made worthy to behold Your face to face in Your glory. May they soon be united with You and hear those blessed words which will call them to their heavenly home: “Come, blessed of My Father, take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

You can ask a priest to say a Mass for her soul.
 
If you dont mind my asking, how exactly did your friend’s soul let you know these things? Through prayer or a vision of some sort?
 
Yes, you can definitely pray for specific souls in Purgatory! 🙂 It’s just like how we can pray for specific souls on earth. 🙂
Having Masses said for your friend and offering up your Communions for her are the very best things you can do. And even little dinky things like offering up tiny inconveniences throughout the day still help too. Every little bit helps. 🙂 I’ll keep you friend in my prayers,
