Lord Jesus, when your Mother and Joseph escaped Herod’s murdering soldiers, fleeing as refugees to Egypt, You were an infant, but Your Mother surely told You stories of the difficulties and deprivations that they suffered. Be mindful of those millions of refugees in the world today, and help us and our governments to be just and caring regarding them, especially those who seek our shares and borders.
Mother Mary, who experienced homelessness, loss of possessions and home,
the need to find shelter and compassion, the challenge to overcome language issues,
to find welcome among those populations who might also themselves be poor, whose religion differs, whose desire for medical and educational blessings for their children, their future employment.
Mother, we implore your intercession that those residents of nations who welcome strangers from their desperate situations, will be themselves be protected from being marginalized in religion, employment, or health care by newer residents…
Mother Mary please pray for them and for the hearts of our nations.
Mother Mary, pray for peace and justice in all the nations of the world.
