Hi!

I am going for a praying-over session in about three hours’ time, so I am hoping to get a quick reply!

This question is regarding prayer-over for the physically disabled.

I have a condition which makes it difficult for me to relax, especially my legs.

I am on wheelchair and I find it uncomfortable and difficult to relax on it.

I stood up twice for praying over (with support). The first time round, I stood for a very long time until I finally relaxed. Then, the priest came over and I NEARLY rested in the Spirit. I resisted Him because I was on the steps and I was scared of falling back and injuring myself.

The second time round, I did not manage to stand long enough for my legs to relax.

What position do you recommend for my condition when a priest prays over me?

Thanks!

Sit down. Since you are on wheelchair, just stay there. I am surprised that they made you standing up. It is not necessary at all.

May God bless you.

The first session, yeah they made me stand. The second, I stood up on my own accord.

But it’s hard for me to relax when I am seated on a chair

Choose a position that you are most comfortable with. Not sure whether you have to go to the front. Nowadays, more and more, chairs would be provided so that the people prayed over can relax to receive the Holy Spirit.

Do not look to be slained. It will come or it will not. Most importantly is to believe that God uses the hand of the priest as his instrument to pour His grace over you. Just receive it.

May God bless you now as you prepare to be prayed over.
