Praying Rosary with Stations of the cross as mysteries?

Quick question. Since there are 14 stations of the cross, or 15 in some prayer books I’ve read. Can I pray the Stations of the Cross the same as I would pray the Rosary Mysteries?
 
Since the Rosary is private prayer you can meditate on whatever mysteries you want to.

There are many scenes in the Gospels that can be meditated on.

Personally, I do the Stations Rosary by the first three Sorrowful mysteries as usual, and then on the 4th Decade on each of the Hail Marys, I meditate on a Station. Then, on the 5th Decade’s Hail Marys, I meditate on the 11th Station, then the 7 Last Words of Christ (12th Station coinciding with “Into Your Hands I commend My Spirit”), then the last two Stations.
