yes thats true. The op said they have a hard time praying. I would be recommending starting simply and then building up to a longer prayer pattern.

We should always pray the Liturgy of the Hours with prayerful reflection and remembering to pause at the appropriate places.

this reminds me , someone should start a LOTH thread with the pages for each day. People could follow along as they wish.
I am not sure if my Australian version of LOTH would match up with the North American version?
 
British and North American English versions are different. I’m not sure which version Australia uses.
 
I’d agree that starting off with the 4-volume set is probably moving too fast, but I’d recommend starting with Shorter Christian Prayer rather than an app. There is something about reading on paper that is more engaging than reading on an app or Kindle.
