Praying the rosary Alongside prerecorded rosaries on TV and youtube

Is it still legit to pray the rosary to a pre recorded tape or video of people praying the rosary? I remember when I became so into the rosary I started out praying it to Mother Angelica’s Rosary program on EWTN. I also love how I feel calm and relaxed while seeing images and maybe some music playing in the background as I’m praying. It helps me keep my mind focused. At home I can get easily distracted and it can ruin my vibe. Unfortunately we don’t have Mary appearing to us saying if it’s ok or not ok and I don’t want to be scruple about this but I want to make sure I make the most out of saying the Rosary.
 
i pray the rosary along with a pre-recorded CD on my commute to work

i think it imposes a certain discipline in that i no longer listen to ****** radio or stop for junk breakfast or coffee

i just drive & pray

i’d like to think the Blessed Mother approves

i hope so
 
The rosary is a private devotion and pray away however it suits you. I have prayed also with Mother Angelica’s rosary and I have a beautiful tape of the rosary sung I pray at night.

i also like the Holy Land Rosary that Father Pacwa does at 0730 ET on EWTN

when i am motivated enough to get my arse out of bed in time

i like to say that while i exercise at home

then i don’t “have” to say the roasry in the car
i hope BVM is approving of these “deals” i cut to say the rosary at least 5x/wk

The Holy Land Rosary is awesome~ I love that one, too. You are not cutting any deals at all you are praying the rosary as a private devotion and assuredly the BVM approves and so does her son, Jesus.

I have a tape of the Rosary that I pray along with in my car. I also pray along with the Holy Land Rosary.
 
Thankfully, modern technology makes it easy to pray the Rosary while in the car! Or, at any time in my home when I want the aid of another voice that inspires.

Recently I learned of this site from a post on CAF, and it is beautiful.

There is an excellent recording of the sorrowful mysteries to click on, and it also has Perpetual Adoration with a live camera on the Blessed Sacrament in the monstrance.

I pray along with recordings of the Rosary all the time. Usually when driving home from work.

The only thing I’ve ever wondered about is praying the full prayers or just praying the responses.

At first I would only pray the responses. In other words I would listen to Mother Angelica, or the leader in the particular version, saying the “Hail Mary full of grace…” part and then I would verbally pray along with the “Holy Mary, Mother of God…”. I don’t know that it makes a difference, but it seemed to me that I wasn’t really praying the whole Rosary properly that way since it was just a recording, so I switched to praying aloud along with all the prayers.
 
I say the Rosary with EWTN radio’s evening Rosary when I have the chance.

I can’t see any problem with praying the Rosary with EWTN TV/radio or with a prerecorded Rosary. EWTN is a legitimate Catholic organization; I can’t see them broadcasting the Rosary or selling copies of it if that were improper.
 
I pray it while watching the live airing every morning 1st in French (9 am cst) then in Italian (at 11 am cst) on the “Direct from Lourdes” t.v program. I can now say the Italian from memory not quite there yet with the french. (Still have to do it by rote) I bet with my okie accent it is horribly mangled to anyone who knows either! :p:D

But I also repeat it in English while waiting for the priest to continue…so it seems I’m doing 4 a day but don’t know if that counts. :o 🤷
 
I pray along with the “Holy Rosary” DVD every evening before I go to bed. I love the beautiful stained-glass windows portraying each Mystery.
 
I use Youtube as well when I say the rosary. I usually say the whole prayer and not just the response.
