What are your thoughts on praying the rosary in bed? I often do that, either at night or in the morning. I find I am most contemplative and able to focus when laying down. As well, my mind is most clear in the evening or first thing in the morning, when everything is quiet.

I’m for it if it works for you. This would work for me a lot of mornings, but never at night–I would never get to the second mystery.

Maybe not if you fall asleep and the Rosary beads might fall to the ground, ect. I have done this and it happened to me. If you don’t use an actual Rosary and just count in your mind/count with your fingers, that would be good. And while you’re praying the Rosary, keep me in your intentions😃

I do this as a way to focus on God in trying to go to sleep. It is easier to use than just try to pray as the physical action keeps the mind focused on praying rsther than nightly wondering. When I start to get dozy I put it in the nightstand. (I use it more as a prayer aid than a direct rosary prayer personally)

I do it all the time, if it falls, you just PICK IT UP. I use a 1 decade rosary, easier to hold. I only have one blessed (have about 10 I’ve made) I treat it reverently, but I don’t think accidentally dropping it is a problem.

The only slightly odd thing I Do is hold it in my left hand, wrapping it around my wrist when I finish, I hold it all night - it really seems to prevent bad dreams! I read that on here somewhere and it does seem to work!

I usually say mine in bed at night. I have fallen asleep and wake up later still holding the Rosary. I like holding it in my hand overnight too.

Well, I admit, I do often fall asleep praying the Rosary.

I know some people who only pray it kneeling, so I was hoping I wasn’t being irreverent by laying in bed.

I pray the Holy Rosary in bed all the time. Sometimes I start my day by praying three decades of the Rosary at 5 AM in the morning. 👍
