Praying to this lady and that lady How many ladies?

I was a moslem, converted to presbytarians when I was very young and now 10 years I am catholic

I do not understand what it means to pray to lady of Fatima then lady of … and lady of …

This is too much confusing …

Our lady of Fatima refers to the appearance of Mary to three little shepherd children in Fatima Portugal in 1917.

Our lady of Lourdes refers to her appearance to Saint Bernadette in Lourdes, France in 1858.

Our lady of Guadalupe refers to her appearance to a poor man named Juan Diego in Guadalupe Mexico in 1531.

The titles refer to the location. They are all the same lady, just different places and situations.

You can pray to Mary addressing her just as Mary if you want to…you aren’t obliged to called her by the titles of her apparitions…when I pray to her I usually call her mother Mary

You don’t have to. You can simply address her simply, such as “O Mary” or “Dear blessed Mother”, rather than through some other devotional title.

And really, they’re just titles, based on private apparitions or some theological conclusions. No one title is “better” than the other; whether or not you choose to invoke her under some title or the other, or simply as “Mary” or “Queen”, you are invoking the same person, the Mother of God, for her intercession.

But regardless of what you’re comfortable with, do it. She is our best and closest intercessor for us in heaven, and if you want anyone praying for you, it’s her.

There are many titles for Mary. Our Lady of Perpetual Help is another one. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Our Lady of the Rosary. There are certain prayers associated with each title, but there is only one Mary and you can address her by Mary.

So, you’re a Dad. And a husband. And a son. Maybe even a brother. Or a cousin. Or a nephew. And a neighbor. And a co-worker. People view the same “you” through different lenses, depending on their relationship to you.

People are drawn to, say, Jesus, in different ways. Some people may be attracted to the Risen Christ, who conquered Death. Others may be attracted to Christ Crucified, who suffered patiently for our sins. Others may love the Infant: the thought of the infinite God becoming a poor, humble, tiny baby. Some may love Christ the King, or the Sacred Heart, and so on. But they’re all the same person.

Same thing with Mary. She has many different titles, some of which emphasize certain dogmas, certain apparitions, or just have a certain kind of poetry about them. It’s all the same person; the title you use is an indicator of what capacity she serves that you’re emphasizing. “Mary” is perfectly sufficient if you don’t care to emphasize anything in particular; if you run into “Our Lady of Sorrows” or “Help of Christians” or “Queen of Angels” through the course of a devotion, just know that they all mean “Mary.”

I would be interested to know why you feel the need to pray to someone besides God? Is there a block? Will He not hear you as well? Does He not know you? Is He not waiting to hear from you, the one He saved?

There are a good many threads of CAF and tracts that explain the “Communion” of the Saints. Actually, today is All Saints Day in the Catholic Church

In a nutshell, you pray (ask) saints in Heaven to pray/intercede for you with God. IOW, you are asking the Church in Heaven to pray for you just as you’d ask your fellow Church members here to pray for you about a particular situation. Saints are NOT dead. Their souls are only separated from their physical bodies temporarily. Their spirits (souls) are no longer limited by their physical/human condition.
