Is there any “point” praying with person/s with severe Dementia?
I know that some people say yes there is because they have a hope that the person might still understand something on some level but I am more referring to severe end of Dementia where it is very obvious that the person has lost all concept about Jesus, prayer, lacks the capacity to “conceptualise” /contemplate the notion that there is a God,has no understanding and lost the ability to reason anymore or understand what is going on around them or meaning of spoken work and can’t understand concepts like sin and compassion etc…
I don’t necessarily mean prayers for their healing -which I wish God would do but I sadly believe in reality this will never happened as you never hear stories of this-
but just praying in general too.
Thanks
