Hi

I Usually get up at 5:30am and do the prayer. I have a silly question. Usually I take bath and then do the prayer. One of my christain friend was saying its not mandatory that you should take bath and then pray. He sees whether you are praying. So there is no need to compulsory take bath and praying. Is this right?

Hi Anu,

No, it is not mandatory to wash before prayer, however it is a nice thing to do.

Its a good idea to take your bath(I shower), in the morning before you prayer. Not that it makes God hear you more or anything, but rather, it wakes you up, so you stay focused.

In fact, when I’m not lazy, the best routine for me is, exercise, bath, prayer. When I come to prayer in this order, I am wide awake, alert and attentive in directing my heart toward the Lord.
