I heard it really doesnt work. Also, if all of you people are asking for prayers, do you really desserve it?

Along with the miracle stories of our faith, there is empirical scientific research supporting the efficacy of prayer.
Prayer is not about receiving a reward for what we deserve. Prayer has the power to transform each one of us.
That being said, I suggest you move the question to a more appropriate forum.

Dearly Beloved IamCuddles,

Since you came to Prayer Intentions and are in doubt, my prayer will be for your doubts.

On your question on whether we deserve it.
We don’t deserve it and therefore we are grateful when we get it.

I noticed you linked an article…well an article’s title…where can I read the whole article?
In fact, patients who know they are being prayed for suffer a noticeably higher rate of complications, according to the study, which monitored the recovery of 1,800 patients after heart bypass surgery in the US.

Kara Neumann was an 11-year-old girl who died when her parents neglected to medically treat her diabetes and instead prayed for God to heal her. The Neumanns could have received up to 25 years in prison for killing their daughter; however, they were sentenced to one month a year for 6 years. The judge said that he wanted them to “think about Kara and what God wants you to learn from this.”

The single insurmountable difference (between believers/non-believers) is reason. One side clings to their beliefs in spite of any tangible supporting evidence. There is nothing that can be said or demonstrated the will change their minds. The other side is in constant flux, as more is learned their belief can and does change. This puts one side at a distinct disadvantage in that they are open to change while the other is not. Under these conditions it is impossible to have any meaningful discourse other than to debate such issues as how many angels can fit on the head of a pin. I leave it to the reader to decide which side is which.

It is an honour and a privelege to pray for one another.God asked us to pray to the father when He taught us the Lord’s prayer. If you look in many past prayer inentions you will fine evidence of how prayer works and has worked for many. Baby Mica is one miracle to look up. It is not so much are we deserving of havinf our prayers answered…we are praying for other people’s intentions not for ourselves. When the Lord does answer prayers we are very grateful. The power of prayer is magnificent and it works. My prayers for you,may the Lord soften your heart and open your mind that you would have the wison to see to follow Him.
Father please hear our prayers for IamCuddles. We genuinely wish his heart to soften to open his mind to You.Lord in Your mercy hear our prayers Amen

The only thing I find on ‘Baby Mica’ is a myspace page and a link to this site. I saw no news articles or anything from a reliable resource. I also added ‘Baby Micah’ to my search with similar results. Please, if you are going to pray for me, use my real name!

Thanks,
Michael

Praying for Michael …

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Michael, we are all sinners as St. Paul tells us. Don’t let that stop you from praying!

For Michael

Our Father who art in heaven
hallowed be thy name
thy kingdom come
on earth as it is in heaven
give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil Amen

Look in this prayer intentions section for “Help.Life or Death for Baby Mica”.

Dearly Beloved IamCuddles,

Since you came to Prayer Intentions and are in doubt, my prayer will be for your doubts.

On your question on whether we deserve it.
We don’t deserve it and therefore we are grateful when we get it.
Amen to that, praying for OP’s faith…
