have no reservations but right now the wedding plans are driving us crazy.

God bless,
Wow, I am with you. I am going crazy just trying to figure out how to get started! I bought a planning book and just seem to read things over and over but dont know how to start!

Our daughter just got married on the 18th.
We invited 300 people--------we had over 500 show up.
We hired a photographer-------s.i.l.'s family wanted to make it family picture day:) the limo came to save the day!
We bought an 11 tiered cake completely lit up-----not a slice left!

a sample of what it looked like
theknockshoppe.com/cakes/antoinette/antoinette_BnA.htm

We had to coordiante between a DJ and a Live Band.
Our family pitched in to make all the food!
We had an open bar.
We had a chocolate fountain------don’t do a chocolate fountain.
We had the punch fountain with apple cider----don’t do anything red.
We rented chafers and linen-----measure your linen and tables girls!

5 bridesmaids 5 groomsmen
2 twin flower girls and 2 ringbearers

The bride made all the flowers and the centerpieces. We bought a frame for signing instead of a guest book…It looks so cooool with everyone autograph.

A year of planning came to a head Saturday. Everything went like clockwork! We had non-Catholics friends who were crying in the Church who thought it was so beautiful.

It was the most amazing wedding I have ever been to!
I was so proud to be the M.O.B!
The father daughter dance was amazing—not a dry eye in the house! The song?

I loved her first

Our daughter’s face was buried in her daddy’s neck, she just let the tears roll.
I have beautiful picture of that moment. 1 down 4 to go!

I’m like actually crying because that just sounds so wonderful… I WISH my parents would be that enthusiastic about my wedding. I have less than 4 months and nothing is booked except the church…it’s not entirely my parents fault…but it would be so much easier if they would help or even give some advice. Please plan my wedding for me!! 🙂

OOO honey I know the feeling…

Look you have the most important part done! You have the Church. Now keep focus, like I kept telling my baby, the most important thing is that you are inviting Jesus into your marriage. Everything else is gravy. I forgot to mention my husband and I put a lot of prayer time into this marriage, as well as our daughter did too. Nothing should be done without Him. Including the planning. Hand everything over to Him. Give Him the wheel.
Now take a deep breath…and smile because God’s on your side.

So…if your on a budget, decide whats important and whats not.
Also what time of the day?
See if you do it at 11 am lunch follows and if you do it at 2pm you can get away with a cocktail party which is cheaper or make the reception for **5pm **and you’re feeding everybody dinner…that cost more.

Did you pick your colors? This might help…

Church…[x] It doesn’t need decorations.

Reception… ] ask about the hall/gym of the church, make payments as you go if you have to.

Invitations… ] The craft store is a big help for this too. If not try a printing place. If you haven’t even done this you could give yourself more time by moving the date further back.

Wow thank you. you are so sweet! 🙂 I’ll be making everything myself…Made my bouquet and waiting on the flowers to come in to make the rest. What kinda of centerpieces did you have?

some vases like these…

wholesaleglassvasesint.com/tower-glass-vases.htm

with flowers in the colors of soft browns and ivory with the stems wrapped in white ribbon. With a string of pearls swagged around the flowers and glued. We surrounded each vase with four votive candles. We also used number cards, nice to have.

Set on a chocolate brown table cover that drapped over a white table cover.

The colors were white, ivory and chocolate. The bride in white the bridesmaids in chocolate and the flowergirls in ivory. All the flowers were white.
