Is it right to try and convert people, give out leaflets on the faith etc. Should you, as a Christian, try and convert or preach about the faith to others e.g. non-believers, agnostics, non-religions etc. Or not?

And why are there so many Evangelical Christians preaching on the street etc. But not Catholics, or Orthodox Christians?

One might make an argument that Catholic and Orthodox should do this more, but there is another factor. Preaching is not always done with words and Catholics are big on this as well. As St. Francis said over 800 years ago, preach the Gospel, sometimes use words. We preach the Gospel in the way we live our lives. This is what is meant by shining Christ’s light. Some of the earliest converts in the first centuries were converted by seeing the piety and willingness of the Christians to sacrifice for their neighbors.
