Hi,
What do you do if you accidentally spill the Precious Blood on your clothes?
Thanks!

That’s what my priest told me to do a few months ago, so I’d have to agree.Your priest would know the correct thing to do, but I believe you would wash it out with water, pour the water down the sequarium (or into the ground). That’s what I recall, at least…
I believe the special sink you are referring to is a “sacrarium”. Normally, any fluids poured into the sacrarium would drain down below the altar area, where there is a crawl space beneath the Church, or directly to a landscaped area, just outside the Church building slab, and in an area not subject to traffic.Your priest would know the correct thing to do, but I believe you would wash it out with water, pour the water down the sequarium (or into the ground). That would be my suggestion. My first impulse was burn the shirt and bury the ashes.

It usually looks like a regular sink, often directly next to the actual “regular sink.”what does this look like?
Best explanation I’ve heard.Ok, I asked a priest and he said something like: “It’s not the Precious Blood anymore because in order to be the Eucharist, the accidents of “bread” and “wine” must be intact. Since a stain is no longer “wine” in liquid form, it isn’t technically the precious blood anymore. So he said that I should wash it out of reverence for what it ‘once’ was, not what it ‘is’. He also said I could wash it in the sacrarium if it made me feel better, but it isn’t necessary.”![]()
