The forums are shutting down on December 31st. I’m guessing @ChuckB means it’s going to turn into a fight to get the last word in the World News forum.

There isn’t much point in getting in the last word because on Dec. 31st, all words, both early and late, will disappear from the forum. It has been said that there will not be an archive, and I doubt that many people are going to bother looking up what was said on the Wayback archive.

I expect people to start dropping off by then, partially because of Xmas and new year, and partially because they know that few people will see their words.

Of course, there will be those that may now violate community guidelines and the COVID misinformation trolls that will pop up then. I see little purpose in managing them by then since all post will be gone soon thereafter.
